A truck mounted tank designed to suck effluent from cesspools, sewers, storage tanks etc. by creating vacuum inside the tank. The tank contents are discharged by gravity or by raising the pressure inside the tank to speed up its emptying.
The tank is fabricated from 6 mm steel sheets to specification ST 37-2 or equivalent. Circular cross-section with dished and flanged front and rear dished ends. Internal baffles are used to control sloshing of contents. Sufficient number of anti-explosion rings is provided to the shell.
Battioni Pagani or Equivalent with air cooled rotary vane type pulley drive, provided with automatic lubrication. Manually operated integral changeover valve allowing selection of “vacuum” to draw air out of the tank or “pressure” to blow air into the tank (PTO and its control must come fitted with the chassis)
Fitting and Safety Features
Two 4” ball valves is provided for suction and one 6” & 4” ball valve for discharge with female coupling. Suction valve is connected to an internal stand pipe. Full size manual rear door provided for ease of cleaning and maintenance of the tank interior with clamps used for positive locking. Rubber seal ensure air tight closure. Primary and secondary cut out to prevent effluent from entering vacuum pump.
- Open hose boxes are provided on either side of the tank.
- 4” suction hoses -3 off 3 mtr. with quick disconnect coupling.
- Steel mudguard and rubber mud flaps on tank rear wheels.
- Rear under run bar with reflective honeycomb sign.
- Side marker lights 4 nos. on either side the body – Amber
- Vacuum / pressure gauge.
- Pressure / Vacuum relief valve working at 0.7 bars.
- Content sight glass
- Access ladder.
- Bacon Lights 2 nos at rear (Make –BOSCH)
Painting : Internal-Sand blasted to SA 2.5 standard and coated with coal tar epoxy black. External-Sand blasted to SA 2.5 standard and painted with one coat of primer
and two coats of synthetic finish paint single colour as per customer’s choice.
